Whether you're running dual monitors with a full-size keyboard and mouse, or a single ultrawide with everything centered on one board, your wrist ends up resting in the same spot for hours either way. The Wrist Deck sits under your keyboard and mouse in either layout — you're not reshaping your desk around it, it fits the setup you already built.
Six to ten hours a day, your wrist rests in the same spot on the desk. A flat foam pad just absorbs weight — it doesn't do anything about the pressure concentrating in one place. The Wrist Deck's raised diamond-grid surface breaks contact into smaller points instead of one flat load, so the pressure spreads out instead of digging into the same spot by hour four.
Solid foam pads trap heat against your skin — by mid-afternoon your wrist is sitting against a warm, sweaty surface. The diamond-cut channels across the Wrist Deck aren't decoration — they're gaps that let air move underneath instead of getting sealed in, so your wrist isn't sitting in trapped heat by the time you're still modeling at 4pm.
A wrist rest that slides every time you reach for the mouse is worse than not using one. The Wrist Deck's silicone base grips the desk directly, so it holds position through a full day of reaching, typing, and repositioning — not creeping an inch to the left every hour.
Coffee, hand oils, desk dust — anything sitting under your hands eight hours a day picks up grime fast. The Wrist Deck's woven surface wipes clean with a damp cloth, so you're not replacing it because it looks worn out.
Yes — the Wurk Built is rated for any laptop up to 18" and 11 lbs. The platform is 10"×8.3", narrower than a 18" footprint, so larger laptops extend beyond the platform on all sides — that's normal and expected. Two retaining clips at the front corners grip your laptop securely.
Tested stable with MacBook Pro 16", Dell XPS 15/17, ASUS ProArt, Lenovo ThinkPad P-series, and HP ZBook.
Using a tablet instead? A full-size tablet fits fine on weight and footprint, though the clips are sized for a laptop's front edge — test it in your first week if you're using one daily.
We process orders within 1–2 business days and ship via standard US mail, arriving in 7–9 business days after that — 9–11 business days total. Orders placed before 2:00 PM PST on a weekday begin processing same-day. US shipping only at this time.
30-day money-back guarantee. Contact us within 30 days of delivery if you're not satisfied.
Changed-mind returns: you pay return shipping + a 10% restocking fee. Our error (wrong item, defect): no restocking fee, no return shipping charge. Refunds process within 7–14 business days once inspected.
Two separate mechanisms:
Height: Loosen the twist-lock lever on the front of the column, slide to your preferred height (8.5"–13.2"), then tighten. No tools needed. The lock holds indefinitely — no gradual drift like cheap stands.
Platform angle: Set by two hex bolts at the pivot joint. Loosen with the included hex wrench, angle the platform, then re-tighten. If either mechanism ever loosens after months of heavy use (unlikely), the included wrench resets it in 30 seconds — no replacement needed.
Yes — that's the main use case. Raise your laptop screen to eye level (8.5"–13.2" range) to align with your external monitor. The 360° rotating base lets you pivot the whole setup toward a colleague or second screen without moving the stand itself.
Rated for up to 11 lbs (5 kg) — covers every workstation laptop we know of, even a 18" machine with a power brick nearby. The wide square base holds steady under off-center loads too.
The silicone base pads grip glass, wood, and carpet equally well, so the stand won't slip when you type hard, even on polished desks.
No adhesive, no metal-on-metal pinch points — the retaining clips rest under your laptop's front edge rather than clamping down. We haven't run a formal scratch/mar test yet, so treat it with the same care you'd use with any metal stand.
The platform is an open design, not a sealed tray, so air moves underneath your laptop instead of getting trapped — we haven't published lab-measured temperature deltas, but the structure is built specifically to avoid blocking intake vents.
The Wurk Built stand plus two hex/Allen wrenches for adjusting the pivot joint — no additional tools required. Available in Matte Black and Brushed Silver.
1 year against manufacturing defects. If your stand arrives damaged or fails under normal use within that window, contact support@wurkbuilt.com and we'll take care of it.
Three places generic stands cut corners: height range, joint durability, and weight rating. Most sub-$40 stands lock in fixed steps across a 6"–8" range and use a plastic hinge that loosens within months.
Wurk Built adjusts continuously from 8.5"–13.2", uses a wrench-serviceable joint that re-tightens instead of needing replacement, and is rated for 11 lbs — enough for a 18" workstation laptop, not just a 13" ultrabook.
